Hello, Hi wow it's been about half a year since I last posted, I didn't mean to abandon blogging entirely but with my recent internships and university deadline it became something I just didn't have the time for, any days off I did have were usually spent under a duvet waiting for all the stress and mayhem to start again.

Anyway I've now broken up for summer and I have realised I don't want to leave this abandoned, I'm working 4 days a week at the moment so it's going to be a slow process getting a regular run of posts but I want to try, speaking to people has made me realise that I'm lucky to have started off quite well on here so I don't want to just give that up, I'm slowely getting more emails and contacts and I really want to work on that because as silly as it sounds as I'm not doing much at the moment and a blog is like a little something that I have to show for myself.

Obviously I'm still going to write too much that no one will read, talk about everything that isn't relevant and swear so much that this blog should come with a age restriction but whatever that's why I liked blogging.

Admittedly I didn't rush back in to blogging because I became really fucking bored and sick all of the carbon copy posts, and general monkey see monkey do attitude towards the "elite" bloggers, like who gives a shit how you store your make up, you put it in a fucking box and get over it , big deal and Primark hauls oh good lord there should be no such thing as a Primark Haul . I'm happy just staying the unpopular one in the corner and if you have any sort of posts you would want to see let me know because I plan on staying faceless and sticking to my old habbits content wise.

So speak soon and follow me on Bloglovin' I'm not sure if that Google reader business is still going down

  1. So glad you're back, couldn't agree more about the whole carbon copy thing. Don't know how many times I've read a post or review on the same thing 3 or 4 times in a row from my Bloglovin' feed, it has totally put me off blogging recently.

  2. Glad you're back, I love your blog! xo

  3. Really glad to see you back, and can't wait to see more inspiring outfits and other posts :)
For me blogging is about being yourself and no fakery so if you wanna swear then go and fucking do it :D
Haa I totally agree about seeing blog post with the same outfits, gifts, etc, *yawns*, lets have a bit of variety! xxx

  4. Couldn't agree more with this post. I stopped blogging around the same time as you for similar reasons and I've pretty much deleted everything off my blog, and now waiting to start again when I don't feel subconsciously influenced by other bloggers (and I have the actual time). I'd rather blog for me than post for the sake of it about a product everyone else has got or a topic I actually don't give a shit about.
Glad to see others have the same views anyway.
Keep doing what you're doing. It's a breath of fresh air haha x

    1. This is EXACTLY how I feel
thanks for commenting it's so cool to hear others on the same wavelength

  5. Great post and I completely agree with you. I also like how honest you are. Can't wait to see more content! xx

  6. Totally agree. I left my blog after working on it for three/four steady years, I felt inclined to start up another blog that was more my style. Instead of writing about what I really loved, I began to fall into a trap of curating, not creating. Rather than looking forward to blogging, it became a task of becoming a stereotype blog that I found characterless. I can totally get what you're saying, and I've missed you and your wonderful style. Can't wait to see the exciting new posts! My new blog is http://themasculinefeminine.blogspot.co.uk/,

  7. This post has made me so happy. I think lots of us feel like that about bigger blogs (especially people like me who are just starting out...)
Can't wait to see what you have for us as you get back into blogging. x

  8. Thank god someone said it. I've been so bloody bored of hauls and make up recently, I get that some people love it but there's just so much which is all the same. I've clicked 'mark all as read' on things on my feed which I haven't looked past the title because nearly everything is exactly the same on ten different blogs. It's refreshing to see something different every once in a while (and it doesn't happen often, unfortunately.) Nice to see you back.

  9. I love this post Aimee! I can't lie, I've been sucked into the whole feeling like i should blog because everyone else is and i've definitely lost my mojo and sense of style because of it :/ So i'm taking a wee break. I started following you because you are a breath of fresh air, and i love your style. I'd rather your insightful posts once in a while rather than be faced with a vacuous boring stream of regurgitated haul videos and muji storage stystems!

    XOXO Sade

  15. You have completely summed up how i feel about blogging at the minute. Hallelujah! - someone has some sense. Everyone just copies everyone and is so god damn boring and a bunch of generic kiss asses.

I'm glad i found your blog!

  16. Hi there, I literally just stumble across your blog, love the photographic style and the forthright "doing this for myself" attitude, inspiring stuff as I'm just starting out.

After lots of blog researching (and only having sampled the VERY VERY TIP of the iceberg), I've already got that sense of elitism, cyclical posting, and bland imitation. Keen to check out more of your stuff & some of the other ladies commenting here. You've reinforced my want to keep my own blog fresh, personal and challenging xx

  17. Great post, Thanks for sharing!:)
